Budget friendly options

When you're first starting out as a cam girl, it's more than likely that you aren't already super rich from the get go! While better equipment makes for a better show, there are tricks you can use to upgrade your show without spending unnecessary money.

Let's talk lights

A good lighting set up is key in making a great, quality show. Even if your webcam isn't great, good lighting can dramatically improve your feed.

The best lights, of course, are photographer's lights complete with umbrellas that diffuse light and set an extra special mood. The cheapest professional light kit will cost you around $50. The cost goes up as the quality of the lights does. While having professional lighting equipment can be helpful, it's really not necessary. Here are some things to keep in mind, no matter what lighting option you go for:

  • You should have at least three different light sources. It's best if you have light coming at you from the left, right, and front—or from behind the camera. Don't shine light from behind you or at the camera.
  • You can use relatively cheap light sources which can work just fine. These include clip on desk lamps, for example, which are also great because you can adjust them to your liking.
  • Sometimes a lamp with a paper shade is a good idea because this will give your image a pleasant, soft glow.

Lights that are too bright aren't advised, however. They can cause a glare on your image and even leave some parts of you looking completely white on camera. You can avoid lights that are too bright by doing the following:

  • Use light bulbs with lower wattage
  • If using a lamp, cover it with something like tissue paper or cloth. Make sure that the bulb isn't too hot too place something on it, and try not to use materials that are easily flammable!
  • Put your lights farther away from you so they aren't as strong.

Sometimes girls will buy umbrellas with different colors so that the hue of their lighting gives off a special effect. You can get a similar effect by covering your lamp or light source with different color fabrics—this will give you a more interesting image.

Your bulb choice is also significant in how your image will appear to viewers.

  • Bulbs that are considered “soft white” typically give off warmer or yellowish hues.
  • Bulbs that are considered “daylight” typically give off cooler, bluer hues.
  • LED bulbs are usually more expensive that normal bulbs, but they use up less electricity and generate ess heat which makes them pay off in the long run.

How to make a dildo stand at home

What you need: a twin-size comforter, a rope, a flared base dildo (try doc johnson's 6 inch crystal jellies with balls- around $16)

1. Take the comforter and fold it in half. Fold it again the same way so you have a long strip. 2. Roll the folded comforter like a sleeping bag. 3. Tie the comforter up twice with a rope on each side of the roll. 4. Put the dildo inside the rope on one end, and enjoy!

If you take the dildo out, you can keep the rolled up comforter behind some pillows so you have something to lean on during shows. This way you can lean on your back and look at the camera at the same time.

Other props and decorations

Using decorations during your show is a great way to make them more interesting. Simple items like pillows and blankets can also be used as props for you to use while you do your thing. Some girls like to make their space a kind of space to express their own personal style, hobbies, or interests. Putting up posters of favorite bands, sport teams, celebrities, or movies is a great way to get conversations going with new viewers.

Photo sets

This is something that will help you save both time and money in your work. Besides your webcam, you'll need a program called Avidemux. Make sure that you get the 2.5 version, which you can download here: http://download.cnet.com/archive/3000-13631_4-12322310.html

First step: Make a video clip. This clip will be a source of photo stills which you can use in your pic/photo set. Make sure you do some poses or special scenes which you would like to eventually become a picture in your set.

Second step: Transform the video clip into pictures using Avidemux. To do this, go to file, then save, then save the selection as JPEG images. Next, choose the folder that you want to save your set in and give it a name. You will end up with thousands of pictures, so be sure that you name ist something that you remember. Let's say you name it “undies”. Your pictures will show up as undies000001 or undies000002, etc. The program will name all of the photos accordingly to the amount that ends up being generated from the video, so if you have hundreds of pictures from the video, then their names could end up being undies001, for example. Close out of Avidemux. Now you have saved each frame of your video clip and you probably have a ton of pictures that are very similar to each other, or that are blurry.

Third step: You need to go through all of the photos and sort out the ones that your interested in keeping. To do this most efficiently, it's best to look through them using the “Extra Large Icons” option on your folder view. Now you don't have to individually open each and every photo. You can also look at all of the pictures side-by-side this way so that it's easier to choose the best one. The pictures thatyou want to keep, you can put in a new folder. The pictures that didn't turn out well and that you want to get rid of, you can simply delete. If you're afraid that you'll delete some photos that you don't want to accidentally, you can make a copy of the entire pic set beforehand.

Fourth step: Now, you should give the folder with the pictures that you want to use a new name.
