Before you begin camming, you need to choose the right spot to set up your show. The location, set-up, and props that you use can really make all the difference!

== Location ==
Having one spot or room in your home reserved just for camming is the ideal situation. If you don't have the space in your place to mark off a part of it just for your cam girl work, then don't worry! There are tons of other things you can do to make your cam space appealing:

*Include something comfortable to sit or lie down on. This could be a couch, a bed, a computer chair, a table, the carpet..whatever you choose! Just pick something where you feel good and where the camera can get you at your best angles. You should also try to stay relatively close to your camera so you can operate the mouse or keyboard when necessary.
*Try to have some space in your area so that you can get up and move around if you need to. Activities like dancing, posing, or playing with your clothes always add a little something to your shows-and need a little more space. Having a tripod is really helpful in these situations. 
* The lighting that you choose for your space is also key to streaming a quality image to your viewers. Remember to have lights from both the left and the right side of you, along with something that shines light in front of you. Avoid lights that shine from behind you and at the camera. This could include an open window, so don't forget to check those as well. Otherwise, you might end up having strange glares or a whited out image on your video.
*Keep your privacy in mind while you cam, as well as the policies of the cam site that you're working for. In other words, if your site disallows you to include other people in your videos, then make sure you don't have any “guest appearances” going on! Even things like other people's shadows can distract your audience and hurt your show.

== Props ==
After you've chosen the perfect space to cam, you should think about how to make it as fun and convenient as you can. The best way to do this is to have some decorations, and, of course, some props around just in case you need them. You can greatly influence the atmosphere of your show by the colors or décor that you decide to use—bright colors can make a show fun and playful, while dark reds or black hues can make them a little more sophisticated and seductive. Here are a few things you can include:

*Blankets are a great accessory to any show. They come in many different colors and textures, and can help set the appropriate mood for the type of show you want to do. If you plan to do your show on the floor, then they're fabulous for having beneath you and having something between you and the floor. This way, you can easily apply things like lube or oils that you may want to use. 
*Pillows are very useful in a show. They can be used to prop yourself up or to lean on even when you're just chatting. They're also a great decoration option. You can choose the colors, size, and texture that you want to help express your personality or type of show you're doing. 
*Toys and accessories are often necessary if you plan to include masturbation in your show. Having them nearby is ideal, so you don't have to interrupt your show to go and get something. Using your fingers is also completely acceptable, but users often really enjoy it (or even request) if you use some toys. You could think about holding all of your toys and lubes in one container that you can have at your side whenever you need it. Remember to have some baby wipes close by to keep things clean!
*A prize wheel is a great idea to add some excitement to your show. If you're into giving away prizes to your viewers—such as picture sets, special videos, snapchat or skype sessions, etc.--then this is the perfect way to give them out. You could spin a prize wheel whenever someone has tipped you a certain amount, for example. If making an actual wheel is too difficult, then you can look into apps on your phone or tablet that serve the same purpose!
